I am published! As part of Elisabeth Schüssler Fiorenza’s seminar to discuss her then-forthcoming work on the pedagogical state of biblical studies and her vision for radical, democratic pedagogy, seminar members were invited to share reflections on the course and its concepts for the book’s final chapter, “Metalogue: From Theory to Practice.”
With the publication of the book, then, comes my first published work. Click the picture to learn more about (and buy!) Democratizing Biblical Studies: Toward an Emancipatory Educational Space. To read the “Metalogue” in full, you can click here.
Furthermore, my final paper for the course — discussed and edited in collaboration with the full seminar — is published on a website for the book. Follow the title to read my paper, “The Power of Paradigms: Critical Analysis of the Function of Authority in the Paradigms of Biblical Study.”
I would also like to note that I served as a research assistant for Elisabeth Schüssler Fiorenza while she worked on this book, and so I helped to edit it. It’s quite exciting for me to get my first shout out in the acknowledgements of a book!
